Join this community event to kick off the High Country Festival and enjoy eggs, bacon, sausages. toast, orange juice, sparkling wine, tea and coffee.

As the sun dips below the horizon on November 3, the festivities will get underway:
Right in the heart of Mansfield, the High St Median Strip comes alive with a huge line up of food vans ready to tantalize your taste buds. From savory to sweet, a combination of local food and wine along with guests from Melbourne will set the stage for the celebrations to get underway.
​
Carnival rides (including a kids pirate ship!), facepainting, bubble shows and more will provide fun, laughter and excitement as the town is filled with a range of live music.
Bagpipes will ring out to signal the start of the ever popular torchlight parade, as we pay homage to the brave heroes of the emergency services. Finally, the climax unfolds in a burst of colour and light. Fireworks illuminate the night sky, a grand finale that leaves all in awe at the Botanic Park.

EMERGENCY SERVICES TORCHLIGHT PARADE

Celebrate the work of Emergency Services agencies at the CFA / Emergency Services Torchlight Procession and enjoy the fireworks as part of the High Country Festival.
The torchlight procession will begin at dusk. The procession starts at CFA in Highett St Mansfield and then works its way along High Street to gather on parade at the Mansfield Botanic Park.

These prizes will be judged by well known Artist and Art Consultant Richard Watson. Highly Commended, Peoples Choice and Packing Room prizes will also be awarded.

This annual Mansfield outdoor sculpture exhibition has been running for 28 years in 2023.

Each year the exhibition welcomes outdoor sculpture of all sorts. In fact just about anything goes! Entries are displayed for one day only on the median strip across from Australia Post.

Audiences are presented with a fantastic array of entries from sculptors in all kinds of media, from beginner to expert.

The North East Skate Park Series is an all-ages youth skate, BMX and scooter competition and music event which will be held at skate parks across the northeast of Victoria. Enjoy Barbecues, music, and tons of giveaways.

INDIGENOUS MULLUM WETLANDS WALK

Learn about the Indigenous flora, bush tucker and practices in this entertaining and educational walk with local Vern Simsen and Peter Roberts who recently assisted with Poa Grass burning for Mansfield Shire Council. Followed by a cuppa and yarn at the Gadhaba Gathering Place or Visitor Information Centre (weather dependant).
