Cinemania
- Youth Film Festival
It’s a youth festival that’s running as part of the
High Country Spring Arts Festival and it’s all about cinema.
We start with the Cinemania workshop in the October school holidays
where 10 young local people will get the opportunity to make their
own short film with the current artist in residence at Frankston’s
arts space Cube 37.
Daniel Flood, is cutting edge when it comes to new media and has
extensive experience in working with young people and short film.
The short films will premiere at several events in the High Country
Spring Arts Festival program, including at The
Cinema when part of Hotel Delatite becomes a big
big loungeroom for young people complete with couches and cinema
snacks. A feature film will follow the local youth shorts. Cinemania
is brought to you by The Alliance, Mansfield’s Youth Events
Team.
