The High Country Festival & Spring Arts 2010 program themed 'Wild at Heart' will be the inspiration behind the events, food, nature, fun, participation, community values, art, heritage and the spirit of Mansfield and the High Country.

Friday 22 October Spring Arts Walk Opening Night
5.30pm: Come to the Spring Arts Walk Opening Night and enjoy a Wild at Heart, art meets street atmosphere. The Spring Arts Walk is a series of art exhibitions in cafes, hotels and restaurants in Mansfield organised by Arts Council of Mansfield. Meet at the Hotel Delatite for the presentations of the Wild at Heart visual art prize adn the ProActive Tax sculpture prize. Then take a tour with theatrical tour guides from the Mansfield Music & Dramatic Society who will lead you astray around the art venues. Enjoy local wines and food. All art is for sale.

Saturday 23 October
8.30am - 1pm Mansfield Farmers' Market. Fresh regional produce - straight from the farmer to you at the bottom terrace, Mansfield Primary School, Highett St entrance.
9.00am - 3.00pm: Open Day and Fair at Mansfield Rudolf Steiner School & Kindergarten. There will be a variety of stalls, food and musical entertainment. 11.00am - 4.00pm: Teddy Bears Picnic & Fun Day at the Race Course. Every teddy gets a free ticket in the mystery prize draw! Teddy, be wild at heart and bring your friends and a blanket, cushions and of course the picnic basket. 7.00pm: African Drumming & Dance. Mansfield's own African drumming and dance group will perform from 7pm before the fireworks. Everyone is encouraged to join in this energetic and fun style of dance.
Dusk: CFA/Emergency Services Torchlight Procession. Starts at CFA in Mansfield and then works its way along High St to the Botanic Park.
8.30pm: Welcome to Country. Smoking Ceremony and indigenous dancers. Botanic Park.
After dark: Wildfire Fireworks Show, organised by the Mansfield Rotary Club at Botanic Park.
