Opening Night - 'circus, sideshow & showoff'

all welcome - free event

5.30pm - Midnight: Spring Arts Walk Opening Night art exhibitions in cafe venues in Mansfield. All art is for sale. Event starts at Hotel Delatite for opening ceremonies and announcement of winner of ‘Mansfield Visual Arts Open Prize’ and ProActive 'Head Above Water' sculpture prize.
Tour the cafes with special theatrical hosts in a night of sideshow, carnival and spontaneity tasting local wines and gourmet food as you do the Spring Arts Walk.
From 8.00pm: Spring Art Walk continues with live music in cafe venues.

2.00pm: Artist Talk by Karl Shields at Cafe 41. Come and meet the artist in an informal setting and enjoy great food at the same time. Karl will talk about his work and what inspires him to create his fantastic large scal acrylic landscapes. Free event.

1pm-3pm continuing with food and a variety of musical entertainment.

Theatre Sports

2.00pm:
Theatresports afternoon workshop. Sleeves up and hands on - build confidence, lateral thinking, storytelling, self expression, characterisation, teamwork and communication skills at the Mansfield Performing Arts Centre. Register with Mansfield Shire Council 5775 8555

3.30pm:
Theatresports afternoon performance. A short production featuring the participants in the workshop. Mansfield Performing Arts Centre. $5 entry at the door

7.00pm:
The Professional Theatresports Touring Company Live!! This is thinking-on-your-feet, never-lost-for-words and flying-by-the-seat-of-your-pants all rolled into one, with side-splitting results! Featuring Theatresports stars John Knowles, Michael Gregory, Patti Styles, Nicola Parry (of Thank God You're Here fame) and impro musician Gep Blake . 11.00am: Artist Talk by Brian Langevad at Tangel-oz. Brian has a unique style of visual art and this is a chance to get to know what inspires him. Enjoy great food at this informal 'meet the artist' setting.

2.00: Artist Talk by Richard White at the Witches Brew. Richard is a freelance photographer who lives in Mansfield, Victoria in South Eastern Australia. He is a Double Master of Photography with the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP), a regular judge at their annual convention and a past president of the Victorian Division. In 2003 he won the Landscape division of the Victorian Awards and received an Arts Council grant for overseas study. He is also a regular exhibitor of landscape photography and keynote speaker at photographic conventions.Enjoy great food at this informal 'meet the artist' setting. www.richardwhite.com.au

10.00am: Registration for Dippy Charity Bike Ride at Botanic Park – all welcome

10.30am: Dippy Charity Bike Ride starts from Botanic Park. Riders will make their way clockwise around the 22 km Barwite Loop. The fundraiser for Mansfield Hospital is open to people of all riding levels & will be a relaxed & social event. Cost $7 includes a sausage sizzle style BBQ in the Botanic Park at the finish. Please BYO drinks both for the ride and the BBQ

2.00pm:'The Big Gig'. ‘The Big Gig’ will feature performances from the schools bands from around the district and the M.A.D orchestra. Presented by Mansfield Secondary College, the afternoon kicks off at 2pm at the Performing Arts Centre and entry is by gold coin donation. Enquiries 5775 2022
